Overview
Spective ("we", "our", or "the app") is a home inspection reporting app for iOS. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Data We Collect
Data you provide:
- Company name, license number, contact info (entered in app settings)
- Inspection data: property addresses, client names, emails, phone numbers, inspection findings, photos
- Invoice and payment records
Data collected automatically:
- Anonymous install event (app version, device platform) — sent once on first launch
- Crash reports (via Firebase Crashlytics) — anonymous, no personal data
- In-app purchase status (managed by Apple)
How We Use Your Data
- To store and display your inspection reports and client information
- To generate PDF reports and invoices
- To provide the client portal (inspection reports shared via private link)
- To improve app stability via crash reporting
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.
Data Storage
Inspection data is stored locally on your device using an encrypted SQLite database. When sync is enabled, data is backed up to Supabase (our cloud database provider) under your account. Client report links are hosted on our servers.
Photos are stored on-device and uploaded to secure cloud storage only when generating a client-facing report.
Third-Party Services
- Apple In-App Purchases — subscription billing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not see or store payment card details.
- Supabase — cloud database for report sync and storage. Data hosted in the US.
- Firebase Crashlytics — anonymous crash reporting to improve stability.
Your Rights
You can delete all your data by deleting the app and contacting us to remove any cloud-stored data. To request data deletion, email us at support@brainmonger.com.
Children
Spective is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
